Who we are
We are a group of enthusiastic and diverse people:
students, lawyers, economists, teachers, freelancers, seniors and unemployed.
But we have one thing in common: the love for the Museum of Fine Arts.
The volunteer program of the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest was established in 2006, following the tradition of the world’s greatest museums. After the institutional merge the Hungarian National Gallery built it’s volunteer program on the same basis and on similar fields as the MFAB.
Nowadays the Program has more than 200 members, who help museum staff to provide visitors with more complete services. Volunteers help at the information desks, on museum education programmes, in the Library, at the Hands on! desk, in promoting the Friends programme and in the backstage work (administration and office work).
The volunteers need to speak Hungarian at least on medium level.
